A series of pilgrimages to the seaside. Unplanned, undecided and mostly unequipped.
A collaborative project between me and Kevan Davis for the Dislocate exhibition in Tokyo. Multiple voices telling different and conflicting directions of how to go home. A multimedia mesh of voiced directions, misconceptions and disconnections based on consumer level GPS devices.
After the event was over I spent a lot of time photographing and then packing up each item that was made into boxes.
This project was about all the memories that get 'stored' into archives. I made up a small room with shelves of boxes. Each of the boxes contained models, video or other information of some sort.
A 2 day part performance and audience participation event in which objects were made with newspaper and packing tape and then put into boxes and are now being stored. Photographs were taken of each item that was made as documentation of its creation. I had a lot of fun with this one.
