Went to a talk called 'Social Media Makeover' by Antonio Gould, a nice guy who seems to know a lot about the subject.
Although I know some stuff about the technical aspects of blogging and social media, I have been struggling a little with whether I should be using them on my website or if I should just have a static website instead. I found it helpful and it gave me all the answers I was looking for...and at the very least it has given me a kick and prompted me to add a few updates! I also promised to add instructions for adding custom domain names... I will put them on a separate page.
